Cavendish is made up seasoned professionals with a wide range of 'hands on' industry and project experience in the Asia Pacific, African and Middle East regions. What unites us is a common mission of putting problem projects right and improving the way large projects are delivered.

Terry Burns

Terry is a principal consultant at Cavendish Risk Management and is a specialist in international large scale programme delivery and recovery assignments with 30 years experience as a Consultant and Senior Programme Delivery Director.

Terry has broad experience in the delivery of large projects for Banking clients, Governments, and large commercial enterprises in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Terry has managed several projects in excess of $500 million.

John Swinson

John is a partner of Mallesons Stephen Jaques, with 20 year experience specialising in IT contracts and IT disputes. John has participated in the Harvard Negotiation Project, and has obtained a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School. He is also an adjunct Professor of Law at QUT Law School.

John has structured and negotiated over $2 billion of IT contracts, for both government and corporate customers.

Sean Davidson

Sean is a principal consultant at Cavendish Risk Management and has over fifteen years of technical project and operations management experience in the Asia Pacific region. He has held roles in both vendor and customer capacities including Chief Technical Officer, Regional Director, and Managing Director in locations ranging from Shanghai to Singapore.

With a dual technical and management background Sean’s career focus has been on recovery of troubled software development projects and turnaround of technology company operations. His accolades include starting an award winning software development Company in Thailand, turnaround of Getronics (formerly Wang Global) Hong Kong, Taiwan and China subsidiaries, and recovery of several high profile systems integration projects.

Murray Isaac

Murray is a principal consultant at Cavendish Risk Management and is a Senior Manager and Certified Management Consultant (CMC) with specific skills and knowledge in the area of programme and project management and how technology can be applied to organisations in banking, financial services and government to provide business agility and competitive advantage.

His current assignments have involved him in the setting up and operating programme offices for a number of companies in a number of different business sectors / operational activities and project / programme governance. He has recently been involved with a Health Check and recovery assignment looking at program and project PMO requirements, establishing good practice across the program and delivering program artefacts and process for project improvements.

Kirsten Bowe

Kirsten is a senior associate at Mallesons Stephen Jacques with 9 years of experience specialising in IT contracts and procurement. Kirsten specialises in advising both government and corporate clients in contracting for a range of complex and strategy IT solutions and services. This experience includes extensive experience developing contracts to maximise benefits to clients under the GITC framework structure and assisting clients with the management of the project through the project lifecycle.

Shaurin Shah

Shaurin is a principal consultant at Cavendish Risk Management and is a Graduate in Engineering and M.Tech. from one of the top engineering institutes in India (IIT, Chennai)

Shaurin has 20 years of consulting, enterprise architecture, ERP procurement management and SAP program delivery experience. Shaurin has recently consulted on a very large and complex multiple agency Finance and HR implementation program for the Queensland Govt., involving SAP, Saba, RecruitASP and Workbrain solutions.
